More spring cleaning

Diet Pepsi can,
"You got the right one, baby!"
Still, you'll have to go

Spring cleaning

Quiet day at home
Sifting through old memories
More room for new ones

We're going live WHEN?!

Upgrading software
Is not a trivial task
Never enough time

I love it when the light bulb turns on...

Frustration for hours
Until a solution found
Sweet satisfaction!

Physical check-up today

Eyes and ears tested
I feel as if I'm flunking...
But I'm doing fine

Low cholesterol
In spite of lots of ice cream
Hope it stays that way!

Am I Haiku?

A brief departure from my silly haiku...

I was enjoying reading Alvina's bloomabilities blog, and there I found a link to a little quiz that tells you what poetry form you are. Naturally, I wanted to see if I would, in fact, be a haiku! Instead, I found:

I am, of course, none other than blank verse.
I don't know where I'm going, yes, quite right;
And when I get there (if I ever do)
I might not recognise it. So? Your point?
Why should I have a destination set?
I'm relatively happy as I am,
And wouldn't want to be forever aimed
Towards some future path or special goal.
It's not to do with laziness, as such.
It's just that one the whole I'd rather not
Be bothered - so I drift contentedly;
An underrated way of life, I find.
Maybe not having read the Lord of the Rings books lost me points in the "goal-oriented" portion of the quiz. However, I was heartened to find the following footnote at the end of my poetry evaluation:

(If you were not Blank Verse you would be a Haiku.)
Hooray! This blog is perfect for me! Or is it?

Short, terse, unfriendly,
Yet sometimes quite emotive;
I am the Haiku.
So my choices are general aimlessness or anti-social tendencies. Sigh. I'll just think of myself as a kinder, gentler haiku.

What Poetry Form Are You?

Sleepy...

Eyelids are heavy
The screen before me a blur
Time to go home yet?
